Our goal is to effectively provide you with all necessary information so that you possess the tools to become the safest Tandem Instructor possible. To increase your retention, we provide an interactive learning environment where all information is put into practical application.


Prerequisites:
- 18 years of age
- Logged at least 500 Ram-Air jumps
- 'D' License or FAI Equivalent
- Proof of 3 years in the sport
- FAA Class 3 physical
- Have a current Coach Rating or higher, or foriegn equivalent
- Strong ONLY:- 1 cutaway

UPT COURSE MATERIALS:
- Vector Tandem Manual and Sigma Manual (download at UPT)

STRONG COURSE MATERIAL:

The course will take 2-3 days manufacturer rating; add an additional day for USPA Tandem Rating.

Student Briefing
Gear up and Student Handling
Aircraft and Hook-up procedure
Exit and Drogue fall
Canopy Pattern and Landing
Emergency Procedures and Harness Training 
Problem Solving

- Landings





Vector Sigma Tandem Rating Course Fee-$425 plus minimum 9 slots (this price does not include tandem rig rental)
Strong Tandem Rating Course Fee-$425 plus minimum 10 slots (this price does not include tandem rig rental)



USPA Rating Course Fee- Free with any Manufacturer course done with Skydiving Education and $150 for everyone else plus minimum 2 slots  (for all people without an Instructor Rating)
Free for Instructor rated in any other discipline


Tandem Cross-training:


Prerequisites:
For UPT: Must have a current Tandem Rating with minimum 25 tandem jumps and meet all requirements of UPT .
Completed Vector Tandem and Sigma Test (found in manual and is open book)
Training will consist of all day one material (outlined in full course schedule) plus 2 Evaluation Jumps.
 
For Strong: Have a current Tandem Rating, training includes all class information plus 3 Jumps.  If you have less than 100 tandems then you must do additonal 2 phase II jumps.

Cross-Training Free: $225 (plus slots) this does not reflect gear rental


I/E will travel to your dropzone. Transportation and lodging for I/E is the responsibility of candidates in the course.
